Dr. Buddy Mayo was a finance professor, advisor, and friend to countless alumni. As a professor, Dr. Mayo was a powerful pragmatic instructor whose impact went beyond academics. His passion prepared students for the real world and is the tangible inspiration that drove many to success. He is emblematic of the TCNJ culture which so many alumni reflect on proudly. In addition, his generosity and influence run deep. The creation and development of the Mayo Business Competition, Mayo Student Investment Fund, and Mayo Concert Hall are part of his legacy. In addition, Dr. Mayo has authored multiple textbooks on finance and investments and is a TCNJ Foundation Board member. It has always been Dr. Mayo’s vision to provide educational opportunities for young people. And, a new endowed scholarship to honor Dr. Mayo in support of Trenton Central High School students will help more young people reach their goals and dreams at TCNJ.
